Mother Caterpillar
FABIOLA PASCU studied at the University of Arts and Design, Timișoara. Although she feels more confortable doing analog illustrations, she recently started doing Pixel Art.
While everybody’s inside their house during the Pandemic, an Alien-Caterpillar started her own instagram about Astrology, Tarot, and Magic, to kill time. @mother_caterpillar is who you’d like to follow if you want to learn about planets and retrogrades, since you probably don’t have much to do around your house.
Initially, I just needed an instagram to sell my birth chart readings, but it ended up being a quarantine project about pixels and magic. Since I love any type of ‘early internet aestethics’, I decided to use the simplest cells of the computer as a playground, with bright, out of this world, colours and gradients. Pixels become a 2D Universe that my character lives in, and a part of the atmosphere I feel when I think about the Age of Aquarius and our generation’s view on Astrology.
